Service Overview
- We should respond without fear, to the direction of the spirit in doing those tasks which we are being called to do.
- As we engage in the work of God, we need to realize that not all are called to do the same tasks.
- We must be sensitive to the work God has called of others and listen to the direction of those with spiritual authority in order that all things may be done without confusion in the body of Christ.
- God can combine the works of many, to create a tapestry of His own weaving, marvelous in its’ intricacy, breathtaking in its’ beauty, powerful in its’ effect on the lives of the children of men.
- In our human existence, we have different gifts, we have different callings, and we have different weaknesses.
- The Lord is desiring to use us where He has placed us.
- There are some things that we are all called to do, such as study the work, to pray, and to take care of each other.
- There things that God places on our hearts, that are ours uniquely to do. These may be small tasks that are just as important as any large task. Often, the completion of the small tasks, pave the way for the large task to be done.
- Doing the Lord’s will is not always an easy task. But if you are feeling a calling in your heart, pray earnestly about the task and have faith that resources to complete the task can be brought forth.
- When you relinquish your will to God’s will, and “pray through a need”, it is like going on a spiritual treasure hunt. Each step of the way, if we are in tune with His spirit, the Lord gives us a little hint, a scripture, a song, an experience leading us to the next step in the process. But in the end, the prize is more than just the answer to prayer. It’s a closer walk with Him. It’s a lesson learned. It’s a greater faith and a testimony to share with others. It’s a great adventure.
- Many good things can be accomplished when different churches put aside doctrinal differences and work together to improve our community.
- The key to working together is stepping up and contributing your talents toward a greater good.
- You can be a spark that builds a magnificent fire.
- Gifts and callings are not necessarily the same thing. You can have a great gift, such as a musical talent, but your calling may be unrelated from your gift.
- What is important, is that His spirit has willing hearts to speak to, that respond to their calling.
- The spiritual leaders are called to bring individual callings together, to move in a direction that glorifies God.
- God will create many tapestries and will put those tapestries together to form a great mural that the world cannot ignore.
