As children of God, we can give glory and praise to our God through our words, actions, and lifestyle. Remembering that God delivers all good things should be the reason for your gratitude in prayer. Keeping God at the focus of your received blessings and accomplishments proves that you show honor to Him. As you participate in our “Prayer Wall”, consider the following scriptures:
Philippians 4:6
6 Be afflicted for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Matthew 6:5-8
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men; for, verily, I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut the door, pray to thy Father who is in secret; and thy Father who seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the hypocrites do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Therefore be ye not like unto them; for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

I've recently called off an engagement to a person I believed was specifically created for me. Many things took place but suffice it to say we are no longer engaged to be married. I need healing from a broken heart, humility, love, and patience. Work is very stressful. I'm blessed to still have employment that I thank God for every day. The days have become a lot longer since COVID-19. From 8 or 9 hours a day to 12, 14, and sometimes 16 hours a day. I need strength to be a good public servant. I ask for prayers to do well at work while dealing with the break up. I need peace. I need comfort. It is written that it is not good for us to be alone. I am in great need of the perfect help-mate, good an honest through and through, faithful, compassionate, non-judgmental, inclusive life companion. I need, a genuine best friend, a faithful team-mate that can help me fulfill the measure of my creation. I pray for a team-mate I can be faithful and loving and can help her fulfill the measure of her creation to. There are so many things I need in this help-mate and are too many to list here so I'd appreciate prayers that God would consider working a miracle that will be sustainable, ever growing in love from grace to grace -- one hour, one day, one year, one decade, one century, and one thousand years at a time I need courage and humility and repentance and forgiveness. I need protection from evil in anyway shape or form. I need security. I need the power of the Spirit to help me be resilient back bounce back stronger thank ever - and growing in relationship to God from grace to grace. I'm fighting somethings that are too sensitive to share and just ask that you would ask you to please pray for me. Please pray that the Spirit of God make intercession and prays for me - and my needs -and to consider my wants. I ask Jesus to pray for me too so that I might be a better Adopted Son and a better Servant Leader. I am grateful for any prayers you can offer on my behalf and do not take them for granted. And I commit to praying for you all as well. I submit these words for your consideration and ask that you might pray as the Spirit leads you. I am far from perfect and fight every day to keep my focus on him. I acknowledge my weaknesses, my faults, my insecurities to you and to God. I am thankful and remain grateful for any time you might have to spare in prayer for me. Thank you.
An hour ago a neighbor one block north of us, Gary Barr, was killed in front of his house. Gary & Nancy (his wife) have a large touring type motocycle. Nancy his wife was a passenger on the motocycle. The couple were pulling up to their driveway at the end of a trip. A speeding Chevy Suburban SUV crossed the center line & hit them head on. Gary was driving & Nancy was the passenger. He was killed & she was injured. The Barr's were wonderful people and good friends. Prayers are requested for Nancy's recovery and a comforting Spirit for the family.
