What’s in a name?
Have you heard about the three young men who were thrown into a fiery hot furnace and lived to tell about it? Immediately, those odd names come to your mind: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They were given those names in 605 BC, after they had been captured and taken to Babylon. Before they were named Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, they had Hebrew names given to them by their parents. Their names were Hananiah, Azariah, and Mishael.
