The Living Church
Seventy Richard Neill takes us through a detailed account and the importance of a "Living Church".
This teaching was done in a series of adult study classes, Sunday mornings during the regular class time of 9:00 am to 9:50 am.
(Please note that some of the weekly class topics carry over into the next listed class, as a result of time constraints.)

"Genesis 7:71 tells of a great reunion of the church of the firstborn in heaven, and the faithful of the church living on earth, “And the Lord said unto Enoch, Then shalt thou and all thy city meet them there {faithful of the church living on the earth}; and we will receive them into our bosom; and they shall see us, and we will fall upon their necks, and they shall fall upon our necks, and we will kiss each other.” Only a living church – those of the past, present, and future who are faithful – can have this type of experience. We are called to be that Living Church of Jesus Christ."

"The “windows of heaven” being open means it is a time for preparation and service. It is time to have the covenant relationship stated in II Corinthians 6:16, “as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them, and ‘I will be their God, and they shall be my people’.” God desires to pour out his blessing on His people and His creation. Are we prepared to receive? Are we ready? The window is open."

"We must not let anything get between us and our relationship with God. Let us worship solely our God and His Son by the power of the Holy Ghost now and for eternity. If we do this, we can become one and He will lead us to the promised land of our day – Zion."

"Jesus will come and reign as Lord and as the King of Zion. His title will exceed Branch President or even President and Prophet of the Church. Our branches are beautiful things, we praise the Lord for them. But let us not forget that they are set apart to contribute to the work, and are not the object and fullness of the work in and of themselves. Can we be sufficiently humbled enough to take these matters to the Lord? Can we do this in a way that allows the Pastors and the priesthood – the shepherds – to maintain the ability to protect the flock from the wolves that may seek to enter in? Can we discuss these questions in our Branches and in other gatherings in order to hear from the people? I believe not only that this can be done, but that it must be done. "

"Restoration Branches, as we know them today, have mostly been formed since 1984. In that year an ordinance of the RLDS Church was changed in its practice and understanding. This change of an ordinance created a division within the church that ran very deep and many suffered the loss of family and friends.
The question we have before us is how are Restoration Branches supposed to function in obedience to God under the condition the Church finds itself in?"

From the beginning God has blessed His creation of man and woman. The knowledge and testimony of God’s blessings will take an eternity to share with one another, and there are numberless volumes of writings to explain and share God’s blessings as well. This class focuses specifically on the blessings of Priesthood that scripture tells us God wishes to bestow on man and woman through the Priesthood.
Those chosen to serve in the Priesthood are to bless the people on behalf of God and Jesus Christ.
Are Priesthood functioning in the manner designed of God?

To believers, I need not explain the importance and function of priesthood. However, we need to examine this essential part of the gospel and see if this too, is being used in the manner designed of God, and recognize it when it is not.
To be sure, there are evidences of good priesthood ministry found in our day. We must also understand that this should not be taken for granted, and we must always seek to discern when men fall or fail for a time.
