Lyrics to “Slow Down” as sung by Sissel
In the midst of my confusion
In the time of desperate need
When I am thinking not too clearly
A gentle voice does intercede
Slow down, slow down, be still
Be still and wait, on the Spirit of the Lord
Slow down and hear His voice
And know that He is God
In the time of tribulation
When I’m feeling so unsure
When things are pressing in about me
Comes a gentle voice so still, so pure
Slow down, slow down, be still
Be still and wait, on the Spirit of the Lord
Slow down and hear His voice
And know that He is God
And know that He is God

Sacrament Statement Focus Points
►We all have a never ending invitation to listen to God, and be ministered by His Gospel.
►Sometimes, the best way to understand what God wants for us, is to be still and slow down.
Sermon Focus Points
►When we stand up for righteousness, standing up for someone in need, we stand up for Jesus.
►If we step out in faith, and use the abilities God gave us (even the imperfect abilities we have), and are willing to support our brothers and sisters, great changes can be made.
►Shepherding groups of faithful believers, allow us to get to better know one another, and start to stand up for one another, Jesus will show us his power in our lives.
►When we work together to cast our net, we act as a body of Christ, showing the love of Jesus.
