Psalms 8:3-9
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,
the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels,
and hast crowned him with glory and honor.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands;
thou hast put all things under his feet;
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea,
and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

2 Nephi 1:114-115
114 But behold, all things have been done
in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.
115 Adam fell, that men might be;
and men are, that they might have joy.

Psalms 16:11
11 Thou wilt show me the path of life;
in thy presence is fullness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Romans 14:17-18
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink;
but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ
is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

3 Nephi 3:52-55
52 And it came to pass in the thirty and first year,
that they were divided into tribes,
every man according to his family, kindred and friends;
53 Nevertheless they had come to an agreement
that they would not go to war one with another;
but they were not united as to their laws,
and their manner of government,
for they were established according to the minds
of those who were their chiefs and their leaders.
54 But they did establish very strict laws
that one tribe should not trespass against another,
insomuch that in some degree they had peace in the land;
55 Nevertheless, their hearts were turned from the Lord their God,
and they did stone the prophets,
and did cast them out from among them.

Job 29:14-17
14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me;
my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.
15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.
16 I was a father to the poor;
and the cause which I knew not I searched out.
17 And I brake the jaws of the wicked,
and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.

Romans 13:8,10
8 Therefore owe no man anything, but to love one another;
for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor;
therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
****************************************************************
Romans 10:3-4
3 For they, being ignorant of God’s righteousness,
and going about to establish their own righteousness,
have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law
for righteousness to everyone that believeth.

Doctrine and Covenants 92:2e-2g
2e The ax is laid at the root of the trees,
and every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit,
shall be hewn down and cast into the fire;
I, the Lord, have spoken it.
2f Verily I say unto you,
All among them who know their hearts are honest,
and are broken, and their spirits contrite,
and are willing to observe their covenants by sacrifice;
yea, every sacrifice which I, the Lord,
shall command, they are all accepted of me,
2g for I, the Lord, will cause them to bring forth
as a very fruitful tree which is planted in a goodly land,
by a pure stream, that yieldeth much precious fruit.

2 Samuel 22:7-20
(New King James Version)
7 In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry entered His ears.
8 Then the earth shook and trembled;
The foundations of heaven quaked and were shaken,
Because He was angry.
9 Smoke went up from His nostrils,
And devouring fire from His mouth;
Coals were kindled by it.
10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down
With darkness under His feet.
11 He rode upon a cherub, and flew;
And He was seen upon the wings of the wind.
12 He made darkness canopies around Him,
Dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
13 From the brightness before Him
Coals of fire were kindled.
14 The Lord thundered from heaven,
And the Most High uttered His voice.
15 He sent out arrows and scattered them;
Lightning bolts, and He vanquished them.
16 Then the channels of the sea were seen,
The foundations of the world were uncovered,
At the rebuke of the Lord,
At the blast of the breath of His nostrils.
17 He sent from above, He took me,
He drew me out of many waters.
18 He delivered me from my strong enemy,
From those who hated me;
For they were too strong for me.
19 They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
But the Lord was my support.
20 He also brought me out into a broad place;
He delivered me because He delighted in me.

Sermon Focus Points
►God offers everlasting joy, where Satan deceives with joy that fades and can be stolen from you.
►Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost, are three critical pieces of our relationship with our Savior.
►Peace is not the absence of war, but the presence of God in your life.
►Just as God gives us what we need, we should look at our brothers and sisters to help with their needs.
►Acts of love fulfills your soul.
►The key to living a fulfilled life, is to live a giving life.
►If we want to find this fulfillment, we need to look for those acts of service and acts of love that we can be giving to other people.
►Sometimes, an act of love, is letting someone know they are acting in the wrong way, and telling them in a loving way, with the love of the Holy Spirit.
►If you believe in what Christ taught, you will have righteousness and peace in your life, because you will be in the presence of God.
►Since we don’t necessarily see the full picture, it is important that while we are looking for righteousness, peace, and joy, that we let the Holy Spirit guide our actions.
►We must remember that we need to always rely on God and His wisdom.
►When we rely on our own righteousness, our actions will not align with the will of God.
►All of us have a work to do, with direction from the Holy Spirit.
