Sermon Focus Points
►Before we can ask for God’s blessing with confidence, we need a clear understanding of what the word means. To bless in the Biblical sense, means to ask for supernatural favor.
►When we ask for God’s blessing, we are not asking for more of what we could get for ourselves. We are crying out for the wonderful, unlimited goodness, that only God has the power to give us.
►There are many things we can do for ourselves using the gifts and talents that God has given to us.
►There are many things flow out from a living relationship with God, such as: God can make you into a person of virtue. God can give you the strength to resist temptation. God can give you the desire to choose good over evil. God can you the conviction of the truth of the word of God. God can give you a servants heart. God can convince you that He loves you. God can convince you to trust in Him. God can give you long lasting peace. God can give you lasting security. God can give you steadfastness. God can give you a living relationship with Him.
►The greatest blessings in life come from knowing God personally, and only God can establish that relationship.
►God wants us to seek Him, asking for blessings. God loves giving blessings. When you are asking blessings of God, you are asking of Him, what He already longs to give you.
