Prayer for the Sick
Father of goodness and love,
Hear our prayers for the sick members of our community
and for all who are in need.
Amid mental and physical suffering,
may they find consolation in your healing presence.
Show your mercy as you cloase wounds, cure illness,
make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits.
May these special people find lasting health and deliverance,
and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts.
We ask this through our Lord, Jesus,
who healed those who believed.
Amen

Doctrine and Covenants 1:1a-1b
1a Hearken, O ye people of my church, saith the voice
of him who dwells on high, and whose eyes are upon
all men; yea, verily I say, Hearken ye people from afar,
and ye that are upon the islands of the sea, listen together;
1b for verily the voice of the Lord is unto all men,
and there is none to escape, and there is no eye
that shall not see, neither ear that shall not hear,
neither heart that shall not be penetrated;

3 Nephi 4:44-52
44 Behold I am Jesus Christ, the son of God.
I created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are.
45 I was with the Father from the beginning.
I am in the Father, and the Father in me;
and in me hath the Father glorified his name.
46 I came unto my own, and my own received me not.
And the scriptures, concerning my coming, are fulfilled.
47 And as many as have received me,
to them have I given to become the sons of God;
and even so will I to as many as shall believe on my name,
for behold, by me redemption cometh,
and in me is the Law of Moses fulfilled.
48 I am the light and the life of the world.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
49 And ye shall offer up unto me no more the shedding of blood;
yea, your sacrifices and your burnt offerings shall be done away,
for I will accept none of your sacrifices and your burnt offerings;
and ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite spirit.
50 And whoso cometh unto me with a broken heart
and a contrite spirit, him will I baptize with fire
and with the Holy Ghost, even as the Lamanites,
because of their faith in me, at the time of their conversion,
were baptized with fire and with
the Holy Ghost, and they knew it not.
51 Behold, I have come unto the world to bring redemption unto the world,
to save the world from sin: therefore whoso repenteth
and cometh unto me as a little child, him will I receive;
for of such is the kingdom of God.
52 Behold, for such I have laid down my life, and have taken it up again;
therefore repent, and come unto me ye ends of the earth, and be saved.

Doctrine and Covenants 1:5a-5g
5a Behold, I am God, and have spoken it; these commandments are of me,
and were given unto my servants in their weakness,
after the manner of their language, that they might come to understanding;
5b and inasmuch as they erred it might be made known;
and inasmuch as they sought wisdom they might be instructed;
5c and inasmuch as they sinned they might be chastened,
that they might repent; and inasmuch as they were humble,
they might be made strong, and blessed from on high,
and receive knowledge from time to time;
5d and after having received the record of the Nephites,
yea, even my servant Joseph Smith, Jr., might have power to translate,
through the mercy of God, by the power of God, the Book of Mormon;
5e and also those to whom these commandments were given
might have power to lay the foundation of this church,
and to bring it forth out of obscurity, and out of darkness,
the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth,
with which I the Lord am well pleased,
speaking unto the church collectively and not individually;
5f for I the Lord cannot look upon sin with the least degree of allowance;
nevertheless, he that repents and does the
commandments of the Lord shall be forgiven;
5g and he that repents not, from him shall be taken
even the light which he has received, for my Spirit
shall not always strive with man, saith the Lord of Hosts.

Worship Service Focus Points
►God has directed the Elders to conduct our worship services as the Holy Spirit leads them.
►An important part of our spiritual lives, is to bring our cares to God in prayer.
►God has given us multiple testimonies that remind us to “hear” Jesus, and follow his gospel.
►We must be mentally prepared to “hear” Jesus, taking time to meditate and “listen”.
►The gospel of Jesus Christ has always been available to man, standing in truth and compassion.
►God has not created us to be alone. God created us to be a community, to follow His commandments.
►God has called us to love each other, as much as we love Him.
►The gospel and ministry of Jesus, can not be separated into pieces, only adhering to pieces of the gospel.
► The “True Church” and the “Living Church” can not function as separate entities.
►We, as a church, must stand in unity, loving one other, and not letting our differences keep us from realizing that Jesus was crucified to save us all.
