Sermon Focus Points
►We have been given the proclamation to be the true, living church, brought forth out of obsurety and darkness, that it would have its’ place in the affairs of men to declare the message of the gospel.
►The church must be a vibrant force in the affairs of men, in declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for the purpose of bringing forth the Kingdom of God.
►Grace is perhaps the most misunderstood point of the Gospel. Grace is not a free pass to do whatever we want, but rather the opportunity to walk in obedience to Jesus Christ, seeking to do his will. Grace takes us out of the bondage of sin.
►The first and great commandment is that “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind”.
►The second great commandment is “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself”.
►It is impossible for us, to “humanly” obey those commandments in and of our own strength. It is only when we have submitted ourselves to Jesus, that those commandments become the desire of our hearts, to fulfil them in every measure.
►When we abide in the Spirit, hatred, disloyalty, and all the vices of sin, are driven from our being. The Holy Spirit is the refiner’s fire in our lives.
►Jesus continues to call to his church…”Follow Me!”
