At Temple Grove, Transfer, PA, on the last day, Pete and I were cleaning up in the sanctuary and had put all our electronics equipment on a golf cart to take back to our vehicle to be loaded for the trip home.
As we were loading the trailer, Pete asked me where his iPad was, it had all the recordings of the sermons for the week, I knew instantly that it was still on the golf cart. I told Pete to keep packing and I would find it. I started towards the area where I knew they were loading the carts to take them back to the golf course we borrowed them from. As I was tottering along, let’s face facts there is no all out run in my vocabulary, I was yelling and waving at the flatbed truck with one of the golf carts on it. Somehow I knew that was the one.
The grounds keeper’s wife saw me and asked if I had lost something I told her yes and what it was. She then took off on her personal golf cart to chase down the flatbed truck. In the meantime the Ground’s Keeper had me look in the other 2 carts, of course it wasn’t there. So he had me jump in his personal golf cart and off we went. We meet up with his wife who got the driver to stop and he, was searching the cart on the flatbed truck. The driver reached in and pulled out… the iPad!
Not only did he pull that out but he found a pouch that Pete lost at the beginning of the reunion! How’s that for divine intervention! Not only did the Lord help with getting the iPad but helped us fine the lost pouch! On the same Golf Cart 7 days apart! God is good! And has a sense of humor.
